 About me

Welcome to my website and thank you for taking the time to browse through my images.

My name is Chris and I have had a passion for photography since I was 18 years old, however it wasn't until 2006 when I decided to embark on it professionally and achieved an Advanced Apprenticeship and NVQ Level 3 in Digital Imaging. I then spent the next 6 years gaining experience and specialising in media and communications.

Photography has taken me all over the world and I have had the opportunity to photograph some truely amazing things...sometimes in extremely dangerous situations. From taking formal portraits in the comfort of a warm studio to troops in combat on the frontline of Afghanistan, I have built a diverse portfolio of images.

Expanding on my photographic career I trained as an Electronic News Gathering (ENG) operator in 2010 and was immediately sent back to Afghanistan to document stories of reconstruction projects. In 2011 I was sent to film oil workers being rescued by British forces from the Libyan desert. The footage I captured was subsequently used as breaking news on 'Sky News', the 'BBC News' and other broadcasting stations worldwide.

In late 2011 I began to pursue my passion of flying and after some intensive training I qualified as a helicopter pilot in 2013. A short while after I got the opportunity to fly in Kenya as part of a medical evacuation team before then converting to fly aeroplanes in 2017.

Over the last 7 years my photography has had to take a back seat but my love and passion for it has remained in my heart. I try to take my Canon 5D Mk2 with me wherever I go but feel this still isn't enough! I love nothing more than sitting back and people watching in a busy highstreet before capturing the moment. Equally I love meeting new people and connecting with them. Ultimately I prefer uncontrolled situations and the excitment of being in the middle of the action rather than orchestrating it.

Please take the time to view my images and do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.

Let's work together
